kou1 Murakami Kou couldn't help but to crack a smile as he looked at the screen of his phone: it showed him his chat history with , and he kept scrolling just to once again read her cute messages and stickers she'd sent him. It was probably the tenth time he looked at his phone screen this morning as he dressed up for a... a... a date with her. After painstakingly making the date appointment (with some help from Taichi and Arafune), last night he had sent her a message to make sure of the appointment, and he couldn't help but to think the way she used emojis to convey her excitement for today is just so, so, so cute!

Murakami locked his phone. "I have to get closer to her today, no matter what," Murakami thought, as he gripped his phone tightly, "After all, I bothered Taichi, Arafune, and last night I even had a really long call with Kuruma-senpai asking for his advice... they're all waiting for a good news - I can't disappoint them."

But oh, maybe he's just a tad bit too excited. There's still like an hour before the meeting time with her...

As he arrived at the meeting spot they agreed on, he was greeted by a surprising scene. It was her, - ah, she's so cute, even cuter than usual, with her casual clothes, and... wait, it seemed like she's getting hit on by those older flashy looking guys...

"...I-I'm sorry, I'm waiting for someone..." said with an uncomfortable smile, as she inched away slowly from the group of flashy guys suddenly approaching her a few moments ago. Aah, it was a really bad a diea to come too early, wasn't it? But she couldn't help it! She was just too excited to be able to go on a d-date... with Murakami Kou, the person she so admire!

"Your boyfriend?" One of the men said, his rather high pitched voice snapping her back to reality harshly, "He must be a bad person, making a really cute girl like you wait!"

She fell silent, but anger built up inside her: while Murakami wasn't her boyfriend, it was clear that they didn't have any right to call him a 'bad person'. For her, Murakami was the farthest person away from the word 'bad', even!

Yet, even though she wanted to shout angrily at them for bad mouthing Murakami, her voice wouldn't come out, and instead she froze in place as the guys inched closer to her.

"Just leave him and have fun with us!"

felt like crying. There's no way anyone would save her - Murakami wouldn't come this early, and she's all alone... maybe, maybe she could run away if...

One of the men suddenly reached his arm out to , about to pull her towards him. However, before he could touch her at all, a tall figure stood in front of her in a flash, as if protecting her from the guys.

knew this back. It's the reliable back she's so accustomed of seeing, the back of the person she adore the most in this whole world...

"I would really appreciate it if you stop bothering her."

The calm, yet low voice filled with anger surprised even , as she looked up in surprise. Why would he already be here at this time!?

Before she managed to get any words out, however, the men took offense to his actions and shouted, "Who are you anyway!?" as they glared on him full foce, "She's got nothing to do with you!"

Murakami stared down at them with cold eyes, "She's my girlfriend," he said, "I would like to think she has everything to do with me."

As Murakami's stare gradually turn into a glare, it seems that the group of men picked up Murakami's building anger as they gave up and run away.

"Murakami-san..." called slowly, and after making sure the guys were all far away, Kou turned around to see her eye to eye.

"Are you okay, -san?"

"I, um, I'm fine... thank you very much," she replied, her cheeks reddening. After all, Murakami had just called her his girlfriend - she couldn't erase the image of him earlier from his mind.

"I'm glad you're fine," Murakami replied, trying to look and sound as calm as possible, despite him already inwardly melting from the embarrassment of calling her his girlfriend, "I'm sorry for lying earlier - for saying that you're my girlfriend. It must be uncomfortable for you."

Surprised, looked up at him, her eyes wide, "Ah, uhm," she started, "It... it's okay. I'm actually very happy..."

"...?"

"..."

"...!?"

Now it was Murakami's turn to look at her in surprise, his eyes widened. What did she just...

blushed a deep shade of red and looked down, "I mean, uhm..."

Murakami covered his face with his hand as he, too, looked away from her. His heart felt like it's going to explode from her unexpected words. Even though the streets were bustling with people, all he could hear was his own loud heartbeat. If... if he heard right, then that means she...

"...You're going to make me misunderstand," Murakami mumbled weakly.

What he did not expect, once again, was that she actually heard his low muttering and replied, in a soft voice: "...I would be happy if you do..."

"...!!?"

Honestly, at this point Murakami wasn't sure if he could last the whole date with this cute, (definitely) soon-to-be girlfriend of his.

"Kuruma-senpai, Arafune, Taichi, I think I might be able to give you a really great news tonight...!"
